FAQ

What founders ask before they sign.

How is this different from hiring a full-time CFO?

A full-time SaaS CFO at your stage costs $350k–$500k all-in, plus equity, and is usually overkill before $25M ARR. We deliver the senior judgement and the operating system at a fraction of the cost, then help you hire the right full-time CFO when the time comes, often from our network.

Do you replace our bookkeeper or controller?

No. We sit above the close. If you do not have a controller yet, we will help you hire one as one of the first deliverables. We have a short list we trust.

What if we need to raise mid-engagement?

Embedded CFO clients can flip into raise mode at no additional retainer for the first 60 days of a process. Past 60 days we agree a defined scope-bump.

What tools do you assume we are on?

We are tool-pragmatic but opinionated. Strong defaults: QuickBooks or NetSuite for GL, Mosaic or a clean Google Sheet for FP&A, Stripe and HubSpot for sources of truth, Notion for the data room. We migrate where it matters and leave alone where it does not.

What is the minimum commitment?

Six months on Embedded CFO. Three months on Board Operator. Raise Readiness is the 12-week fixed sprint. We do not ask for annual lockups.
